Nik Speakman

Schema Conditioning Therapist

Nik Speakman started studying psychology in 1981, after a life threatening illness made him realise flawed theories can be passed down through academia for decades, with little or no challenge.

He became cognizant most psychological issues start with trauma, and the benefits of cognitively restructuring those traumatic memories can lead to lasting change. In 1992, he teamed up with Eva and they began studying together.

Eva Speakman

Eva teamed up with Nik in 1992 and she began studying his postulations and theories. They then together created their ground-breaking ‘Schema Conditioning Therapy’®
Visual Schema Displacement Therapy’®.

They have demonstrated their therapies with incredible success on television since 2000 and with psychology professors worldwide. Providing quantifiable amelioration, releasing people from a host of anxiety disorders they had previously been told were incurable.

A few testimonials about The Speakmans’ work with PTSD sufferers

  • "Had I been told that PTSD could be cured, I would never have considered taking my own life"

It wasn’t having PTSD that made me want to take my own life, it was knowing that I would have to live with the symptoms of PTSD for the rest of my life.

  • "I suffered with PTSD for over 5 years and I gradually got worse and worse. I lived in constant fear and it was like daily torture"

After the attack my life gradually changed, to the point I only slept for around three hours each night and I would wake up and find myself in the corner of the room crying.

  • "Despite seeing several psychologists, psychotherapists and the top psychiatrists on offer, even though I have no doubt that they did their very best for me, the prescription drugs and being told I could not be cured systematically took all hope away from me"

The Speakmans were the first people to tell me that Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (CPTSD) could be cured. Seven days before I saw them, I had planned my suicide. They were literally a last chance saloon for me. Incredibly, even though I had been told by so many professionals there was no cure, that the life I had before, had gone forever.
